WASHINGTON D.C. - Runners completed in the final stage of the Race Across USA in front of the White House. Newton Baker of Vermont was greeted by Vermont students from U32 Jr/Sr High School with Vermont flags and rowdy cheers.<br />

Less than 300 people have run / walked across the US. <br />
Ran in temperatures ranging from 9 degrees to heat index of 98 degrees. <br />
48 nights in churches,  homes, schools. Over 50 nights camping. 45 additional runners joined the team. Spoke to 5,276 students in 28 schools
